Signal timing, mirror/blind-spot sequence, and merge gaps.
Step by step
- 1Signal at least 100 feet before changing lanes when practical.
- 2Check mirrors, then look over your shoulder into the blind spot.
- 3Move only when the gap is safe and maintain speed.
- 4Cancel the signal and re-center in the new lane.
